The Foundation
Foundation schools together in early 2008 was only an idea. In the period that followed more and more people showed their commitment to the Foundation. The ball started rolling and then it went fast. In early 2010 the Foundation built its first school in Nicaragua. Without an enthusiast board and a critical advisory board, it would never have been possible.

"As a graduate student I did research on the east coast of Nicaragua. I was then repeatedly asked if we could do something not from the Netherlands to the poor educational facilities, referring to the large number of missing or destroyed schools in the region. Back in the Netherlands - September 2007 - I was called: "We are thankfully unharmed, but your room is no more." It was the woman I lived at home during my research. Hurricane Felix on Nicaragua's east coast was rushed and had a trail of destruction left behind. This moment was the beginning of the foundation flock together! "
